Dental work during pregnancy is permitted. The mother-to-be may
have any dental work that her dentist feels should be done while
she is pregnant. There are a few precautions that must be followed.
They are listed below:
- X-Rays may be taken while the patient wears a lead apron
- Local anesthesia may be used
- No gasses may be used
- Antibiotics are permissible, except tetracyclines or quinolones
- Plain Tylenol or Tylenol #3 may be consumed
- Aspirin or ibuprofen should not be taken
